21st International Cancer Congress PSCO ONCO-2017 Faisalabad was successfully held on Mar-31 to Apr-02, 2017. In which 4 workshops as Nursing, Electrochemotherapy, Medical Physics, Biostatistics and more than 65 oral talks and 40 posters were presented and 2 satellite symposia were also included in the program. National and international speakers participated in the conference. This conference helps a lot to the participants to share their experience in Oncology and other disciplines.

21th Cancer Congress ONCO 2017 is being held on March 31 - April 02, 2017. It will be hosted by Department of Clinical Oncology Punjab Medical College, Allied Hospital Faisalabad in Collaboration with Punjab Institute of Nuclear Medicine Faisalabad and Department of Clinical Oncology Sargodha Medical College, Sargodha under the Auspices of Pakistan Society of Clinical Oncology Faisalabad.

Department of Clinical Oncology Punjab Medical College / Allied Hospital Faisalabad was constructed in 1987 but unfortunately it could not be made functional until Professor Dr Syed Ijaz Hussain Shah joined it in August 1996.
Currently department consists of well-established in door department of 60 beds, 30 males, 30 females and day care chemotherapy bay in which 30-40 patients receive chemotherapy per day.
Department has very busy Out Patient Department with two OPDs per week, each OPD having more than 125 patients.
More than 90% patients receive chemotherapy medicine on charity basis from philanthropist of Faisalabad. Other sources of chemotherapy drugs are zakat and Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. Every year department of Clinical Oncology Faisalabad caters more than 2500 new cancer patients.
Medical faculty of the department consists of Associate Professor Dr. Muhammad Khalid (head of department), Senior Medical Officers, Medical Offices, Health Physicist and Technicians. Department is fully engaged with medical teaching for under graduate and post graduate students and recognized by College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan for fellowship in Radiotherapy. Department has one cobalt-60 with compatible Simulator and Treatment Planning System.

Department of Clinical Oncology Allied Hospital/Punjab Medical Collage Faisalabad has pride to host 3 international Cancer Conferences, 1st in 2001, 2nd in 2005 and 3rd is in 2013 under the auspicious of Pakistan Society of Clinical Oncology. Its a great honor for our department to host the upcoming 21th international Cancer Congress ONCO 2017 in March 2017.
